When Love Appears

(in praise of love)

Love plays its own art and we have marveled. Breathlessly have we gazed, hearts fluttering with ecstasy.

We have studied the art of love since we can barely remember. From the beautiful, integrated love drama of Sophia within Adam, to the appearance of hearts reunited between Adam and Eve!

We have used natural reason to fathom out the ways of love, but we remain baffled. For what is the fascination with Romeo and Juliet, if it were not to confirm this, that we fail to grasp love with natural reason?

The Window Over The Neighbour's Yard

The Burden Of Judging


Sometime ago, one of my neighbours approached me with a rather odd request. He asked if he could be allowed to insert a window on his wall.

It's his house, and his wall, but that wall happens to be directly opposite my house. In fact, his wall was part of my fence on his side. He reassured me that he only needed the window to bring in light into one of his rooms. That he would install an opaque glass, that is, the light would come in to his room, but he would not be able to see through that glass into my yard. We agreed to that.

The Ever-Rolling Burden of Yesterday

The past cannot be healed by an act of forgetfulness. For whatever is forgotten can be remembered, and in that remembrance, wounds are re-opened. However, new meanings can be created today to heal the ills of the past.  
 
How often have we heard it : "Let the past be past" or "Let bygones be bygones" or even, "Forgive and FORGET"? It's all in the past... If this wish were so easily granted, then how come we get haunted, hurt and disabled by images from our own past? Why should we even be talking about forgiveness, if the past could that easily be gone?
